How can we use AI to delight our customers?

There are a number of ways that we can frame the use of AI in our lives.

You can use AI to make you better and smarter, rather than letting it do all of the work for you.

You can use AI to increase your creativity, rather than letting AI replace it.

Or, as shared in a recent episode of “The Long and The Short of It” podcast, you can use AI to delight your customers. As host Peter Shepherd said on the show, referencing Seth Godin:

“Most people start and almost stop with thinking about at the moment, how do I use AI to make my life easier? How do I use AI to get through more of my to-do lists? Can I create some efficiencies with how I’m doing my work? And what he said is that’s the wrong question. The right question to be pondering is how can I use AI to serve my clients? How can I use AI to delight the people that are my customers or my audience members or my colleagues? How do I use it to add value to others as opposed to how am I using it to make my life easier?

We certainly should be looking for ways to use AI to make our lives easier and create efficiencies, but our main focus should be on making things better — for us and for our customers.
