The Obvious Answer Isn’t Always Obvious
Malcolm Gladwell asked a great question in his book “ David and Goliath “, and it’s really simple:
Together, a bat and a ball cost $1.10, and the bat costs $1 more than the ball. How much does the ball cost?
A. 5 cents
B. 10 cents
C. 15 cents
D. 20 cents
This about it for a moment. What’s the answer?
10 cents, right? It’s obvious. But it’s wrong.
